While there are many realistic Operator skins in both MW3 and Warzone, players are highlighting a new bright and colorful skin, calling it “pay to lose.”
Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are about to enter Season 2, which will introduce a load of new cosmetics in the Battle Pass, as well as new weapons, maps, balance changes, and more.
Speaking of cosmetics, players will also be able to get their hands on the new The Walking Dead crossover skins, but before that, the devs have decided to drop a new “Sketched Out” Tracer Pack, which includes a bright and colorful Operator skin called Pop-Erator.
This skin certainly stands out amongst the more mil sim-inspired cosmetics, with bright colors and a more cartoony style that players are poking fun at on Reddit.
User ‘KaMoITZ’ said, “Fortnite, here we go boys!” comparing the skin to something that might be seen in Epic Games’ battle royale as opposed to Warzone or MW3.
One Warzone player in the comments even described this skin as “pay to lose,” as they feel the bright colors will make those who purchase and use it an easy target to spot.
In agreement, a user replied, “With those flashy colors on, you’re just a target,” while another said, “Yup. So easy to spot and track.”
Some wished skins like this were more viable, adding: “Sucks this game requires you to have specific skins for an advantage.” This is more so the case in Warzone, where your life is much more valuable than in MW3’s multiplayer.
“A lot of these skins seem more aimed towards multiplayer, if anything. Bright colors don’t matter when you are being spawn trapped.”
One comment even highlights the skin’s description, “Is it tactically sound to be this colorful in a firefight? Maybe not, but it looks damn good,” claiming it’s “trolling itself.”
Only time will tell when it comes to how popular this skin will be in MW3 and Warzone. For now, check out the Breaking Bad Easter egg on the new MW3 Season 2 map.
