The MW3 Season 2 update is set to bring three new maps to the game, with Stash House as the featured small map. It turns out, Stash House features an interesting Breaking Bad Easter egg for players to discover.
New maps are set to be a major focus of the Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 update. Players are receiving three new 6v6 maps and a new War experience on February 7, along with a revamped version of Vanguard’s Das House when the MW3 Season 2 Reloaded update rolls around.
Vista, Departures, and Stash House are the three new 6v6 maps joining the map pool in Modern Warfare 3, and it didn’t take long for Stash House to pique players’ interests. Players tend to love small maps like Meat, Shipment, and Rust.
With Stash House being the smallest of the new MW3 maps in Season 2, players could immediately gravitate towards it. In addition to its close-quarters nature, it seems that the map has a few secrets in store. One player took to Reddit to reveal that Stash House contains a Breaking Bad Easter egg.
The Easter egg in reference alludes to the iconic pizza that finds itself on the roof of Walter White’s home after an argument with his wife Skyler.
The fan-favorite moment born of Walter’s frustration took on a life of its own as a running joke and meme amongst fans of the franchise, and the MW3 devs pay homage to it on Season 2’s Stash House map.
The devs even commented under the Reddit post, confirming the reference with, “We got dipping sticks…” which is a callback to the now famous pizza scene in Breaking Bad.
Players were quick to envision a potential Breaking Bad collab, given that this isn’t the first Breaking Bad reference in MW3, with a separate one found on the Meat map: “There’s an RV outside the fence with similar bullet hole markings, it’s a reused asset from Border Crossing in MW2.”
Stash House could quickly become a fan-favorite map for players before Season 2 Reloaded brings a revamped version of Das Haus around.
