When is Modern Warfare 3 Season 2? Expected release date & content

The next major update for Modern Warfare 3 will be Season 2. MW3 Season 2 is set to bring tons of new content and gameplay changes so here’s everything we know so far including its expected start date and content.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded arrived in January 2024 and finally brought a Ranked Play mode, the new Rio map, and new weapons. Now that the new content has settled in, all eyes are on MW3’s Season 2 update.
Seasonal updates are when Call of Duty games receive the most content and changes so here’s everything we know about Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 including the expected start date and all of the content it’s set to bring.
MW3 Season 2 expected release date
While no official release date has been confirmed, Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is expected to go live on February 7, 2024.
The next CoD season usually starts on the day the previous one’s Battle Pass ends (unless a delay is announced), so at the time of writing, all signs point toward a February 7 launch.
However, a report on January 25 revealed Microsoft’s mass layoffs at Activision, which impacted several Call of Duty studios. Sledgehammer Games, the studio actively leading MW3 content, was also affected by the layoffs. At this moment, it remains to be seen how or if this will impact the release of upcoming content in Modern Warfare 3.
MW3 Season 2 is set to bring the next chapter in the Zombies storyline.
