It won’t be too long before Warzone Season 2 rolls around with plenty of new content to explore. Players have high hopes for the Warzone Season 2 update, so here’s when it’s expected to start and all of the content it could bring.
The Warzone Season 1 Reloaded update was a major overhaul with the return of the Champion’s Quest, weapon buffs and nerfs, as well as changes to the Gulag. Next up for Warzone players is the Season 2 update, which will bring even more content to the battle royale.
Season 2 is set to follow shortly after Season 1 Reloaded, so here’s everything we know so far about Warzone Season 2, including its expected release date.
Warzone Season 2 expected release date
The devs are yet to officially confirm the exact release date, but we expect Warzone Season 2 to begin on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. This is when the Season 1 Battle Pass timer found in-game is currently scheduled to end.
In the past, new Warzone seasons have rolled out on the same day that the previous one ends, which makes February 7 the most likely date. However, updates have occasionally been delayed, so everything is subject to change.
January 25 reports revealed that several Call of Duty studios were impacted by a significant round of layoffs at Microsoft. Raven Software and other studios working on Warzone were affected by the layoffs and it remains to be seen if this will alter the release of the Season 2 update.
The Season 2 update will bring even more content to Urzikstan.
Warzone Season 2 expected content
No details about Warzone Season 2 have been announced at the time of writing, but certain staples tend to be included in each major update. It’s also been confirmed that Fortune’s Keep will return in early 2024, so this could be the update that brings back the popular map.

- New weapons
- New Operators

- MW3 and Warzone Season 2 Battle Pass
- Events
