Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 will usher plenty of content for multiplayer fans to enjoy, including the return of the fan-favorite Hordepoint mode, so here’s everything you need to know about it, including how it works.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded carried a substantial content package for MW3, and with it being almost done, players have their eyes set on the Season 2 update, which will bring a ton of new content to the game, including new weapons, multiplayer maps, and more.
However, one of the most striking additions was the return of the fan-favorite Hordepoint mode into the game, which will tide up perfectly with the upcoming The Walking Dead crossover.
If you’re wondering what the Hordepoint mode is and how it works, here’s everything you need to know about it.
MW3 Hordepoint mode explained
Hordepoint was first introduced in SHG’s Call of Duty: WWII in 2017.
MW3 Hordepoint is a limited-time Hardpoint variant that intensifies the mode’s mayhem by bringing Zombies into the match as an additional threat besides the enemy players.
Taking advantage of the Zombies-themed aspect, this mode will include a slight chance for players to “acquire a Pack-a-Punch Weapon, as well as three Zombies power-ups, including Max Ammo and Instakill.”
If you aren’t familiar with the Max Ammo and Instakill Zombies power-ups, the first one completely repletes your ammo upon earning it, and the second one allows you to one-hit Zombies to kill them.
Additionally, the official blog stated that Killstreaks will also be enabled. However, players will have to earn five Zombie kills to equal one Operator kill point.
