The Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 Reloaded update has introduced one of the “most powerful attachments” either game has seen before, but it comes with a pretty significant downside.
Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded is in full swing and players are getting to grips with all the new additions across both games. The update brought the Champion’s Quest to the battle royale, while Ranked Play finally made its debut in multiplayer.
It also came with two new weapons, the TAQ Evolvere and HRM-9. As is always the case when fresh guns get added to the mix, this meant that a handful of new attachments arrived in both games.
One of these is the JAK BFB Muzxle, which is unlocked as part of the Battle Pass challenges for the HMR-9. However, while the Muzzle comes with some major benefits, one of its drawbacks has left Warzone and MW3 players divided.
Warzone & MW3 players divided over new JAK BFB Muzzle
The JAK BFB offers a 60%, 20%, and 40%, buff to gun kick, horizontal, and vertical recoil control respectively, far more than almost any single attachment. But, the catch is that firing it reveals your position and direction on the minimap, just like an Advanced UAV.
Reddit user ‘OriginslXVI’ shared a clip of the Muzzle in action, calling it “one of the most powerful attachments ever,” but claiming it has the “biggest downside yet.”
Plenty of MW3 and Warzone players responded to the post, debating whether the “interesting” attachment was worth using. Many felt that the recoil benefits were so effective that giving away extra details on the map is a price worth paying.
“This is really gonna change Shipment/small map optimized builds. The recoil reduction is so strong you can build wholly for mobility,” said one player, before another added: “I honestly don’t care how long I’m on the minimap with that thing, I’m never not putting it on a gun that I have the ability to.”
Meanwhile, others argued that weapons in both games are easy enough to handle without the JAK BFB, so the downsides aren’t worthwhile: “But recoil isn’t that hard to manage, whereas the Advanced UAV is arguably the most powerful streak in the game. How in the world is that a reasonable trade-off?”
Some also pointed out that the JAK BFB doesn’t track positions in real-time like an Advanced UAV, and that it doesn’t show which floor of a building a player is on. So, its major “downside” could actually be used creatively to fool enemies and trick them.
Only time will tell how popular the JAK BFB becomes in Season 1 Reloaded, but don’t be surprised to see it show up in a number of meta loadouts in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
