Warzone devs respond as Season 1 Reloaded update breaks game

Players are reporting several issues following the Warzone Season 1 Reloaded update, and the devs have responded to many of the game-breaking problems.

The Warzone Season 1 Reloaded update arrived on January 17, bringing Urzikstan’s Champion’s Quest, audio improvements, weapon buffs and nerfs, and so much more. While it’s only a mid-season update, there’s plenty of content to dive into across Warzone, MW3, and Zombies.

However, it didn’t take long for things to go south, as players started to report one issue after another following the Season 1 Reloaded update. Most problems occurred on the Warzone side of things, with the list of issues leaving the game nearly broken.

For starters, certain players have been receiving a “Fetching Profile” message that loops infinitely, preventing them from accessing Warzone. Then, once in the game, it seems that Loadouts were not functioning as intended, and they’d cause the game to bug as seen in the clip below.

The list of issues doesn’t end there as players have been reporting that the Killstreak notifications in Warzone were not showing up. This greatly impacts the use of Precision Airstrikes in the battle royale, as they become difficult to handle without their standard warning.

To wrap up the list of known issues, it seems that the create a class feature is not working in Warzone following the Season 1 Reloaded update. Players reported problems as they were unable to edit attachments for their weapons.

The devs have issued several statements surrounding the known issues in Warzone following the Season 1 Reloaded update. Thanks to the Call of Duty Updates account, we know that the devs are investigating the bugged loadout issue.

They also confirmed that they’re investigating the lack of Killstreak notification banners in Warzone. To round things out, the devs acknowledged the “Fetching Profile” bug, as well as “an issue causing distorted geography in Urzikstan.”

Following these updates, Raven also confirmed that they have disabled the Champion’s Quest feature:
“At the moment, the current state of the update does not meet our standards for quality and gameplay, and we are committed to addressing the issues promptly to ensure that all players can enjoy Warzone to the fullest extent possible.”

They did not provide a timeframe for any of the fixes, but they’re likely hard at work addressing each of the issues that appeared after the Season 1 Reloaded update.
