A Warhammer 40,000 event is hitting MW3 and Warzone in Season 2 Reloaded, bringing a host of cosmetics inspired by the popular tabletop game. Here is everything you need to know about Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor in MW3 and Warzone, including all the free rewards.

Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded is another huge update for both titles, bringing new weapons like the SOA Subverter and the Bunker Buster Killstreak. The second half of the season is also continuing the trend of big crossovers, following the major Walking Dead collab.

Once the Dune: Rule of Fate event is out of the way, the devs have confirmed that a Warhammer 40,000 crossover is on the way, bringing the popular tabletop wargame to Call of Duty for the first time.

MW3 & Warzone x Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor event start date

The Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor event will arrive on Wednesday, March 13, in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, as confirmed by the devs in the midseason update blog. It will begin as soon as the Dune: Rule of Fate event draws to a close.

For the Emperor will run until Wednesday, March 27, making it one of the longer crossovers we’ve seen so far as players will have two weeks to earn every reward.

Warhammer 40K is yet another crossover to arrive to Call of Duty.

MW3 and Warzone players will be able to unlock free rewards for earning XP during Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor. Unlike other events that have come with a specific set of challenges, this time fans will gradually receive cosmetics simply for playing the game.

In order to speed up progress, you can equip either of the Ultramarines or Blood Angels Operators to gain bonus XP in each match. However, these are only unlocked by buying the Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines bundle.

There are 10 different rewards up for grabs in the MW3 and Warzone x Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor event. These include Weapon Charms and Calling Cards, as well as a WSP-9 Blueprint for reaching the final tier.
