The SOA Subverter is a brand-new Battle Rifle arriving in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 2, looking to become a new meta contender. Here’s how to unlock the SOA Subverter in Warzone and MW3.
As always, the new season is also delivering a host of new weapons, like the RAM-9 and BP50. The SOA Subverter is also arriving in Season 2, a brand-new Battle Rifle joining the BAS-B and Sidewinder.
So, here’s how to unlock the SOA Subverter in MW3 and Warzone Season 2.
How to unlock SOA Subverter in Warzone & MW3 Season 2
The SOA Subverter will be available through Weekly Challenges when it arrives in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 2. While the RAM-9 and BP50 are available at launch, the new Battle Rifle will arrive “in-season” according to the roadmap blog, although no exact date has been confirmed.
It hasn’t been announced what these Weekly Challenges will entail, but we expect that players will need to complete around five objectives from the same week, such as getting kills with a specific weapon or attachment.
The TAQ Evolvere from Season 1 followed a similar format, as players had to complete five Week 7 challenges to earn the LMG.
The SOA Subverter arrives during Season 2.
This means that MW3 and Warzone fans will have to grind a little harder to unlock the SOA Subverter compared to the other new guns.
If you’re wondering whether this “hard-hitting” rifle is worth the effort, here’s the dev’s official description of it: “With excellent rate of fire and accuracy, manageable recoil, and best-in-class sprint-to-fire and movement speeds, this also offers excellent headshot and target flinch potential, even in its base state.”
“With some fine-tuning, this could be a contender for the optimal Battle Rifle, if you can mitigate the more leisurely ADS Speed.”
That was everything we know about how to unlock the SOA Subverter in MW3 and Warzone. We’ll be sure to update this page once the full slate of challenges have been released.
