Best XDefiant Ranked loadouts: Weapons, Factions, more

XDefiant Preseason features a Trial Run of the upcoming Ranked mode, where running the best loadouts is even more essential than public matches. So, here are the meta builds for XDefiant Ranked, including the best weapons, Factions, and more.

XDefiant Ranked Play isn’t due to arrive until the Season 1 update, but the devs included a trial version of the mode in Preseason. Although the ranking system isn’t in place, it gives players a flavor of what the full competitive experience will be like, so using the meta builds is still recommended.

With this in mind, here are the best XDefiant Ranked loadouts.

Best XDefiant Ranked primary weapons

The two best weapons for XDefiant Ranked are the ACR 6.8 and MP7 during Preseason. Unlike MW3 Ranked Play, Ubisoft’s competitive mode doesn’t currently feature any restrictions when it comes to weapons, so the guns that dominate pubs can also thrive here.

We’ve chosen the ACR 6.8 because it’s arguably the most consistent weapon in the entire game, with easy-to-use recoil that makes it very accurate as well as a solid damage output that won’t leave you wanting at close range.

Meanwhile, the MP7 combines the very best of the SMG category into one deadly package. It has a ferocious fire rate that can melt enemies in tight spaces, but with the right combination of attachments, you can curb its recoil to make it dominant in mid-range fights too.

Check out our best loadouts for both below.

ACR 6.8 stats in XDefiant

The ACR is the best Assault Rifle in XDefiant Ranked.

  • Muzzle: Brake
  • Barrel: Chrome Lined
  • Magazine: Quick Mags
  • Rear Grip: Grip Tape
  • Stock: Padded

Our best ACR 6.8 loadout for XDefiant Ranked is all about making the Assault Rifle laser-accurate at all ranges. With this in mind, the Brake Muzzle and Grip Tape are essential as they drastically improve recoil control to ensure you land your shots.

The Brake option comes with a slight reduction in firepower, but we can make up for this with the Chrome Lined Barrel to buff the firepower at both close and mid-range. It’s invertible you’ll take some damage in Ranked, so the Padded Stock will keep the AR on target by keeping it stable and reducing flinch.

Finally, you’ll need Quick Mags to improve the reload speed and get back in the action quickly. With this ACR 6.8 loadout, the recoil is virtually nonexistent but it retains all of its damage, making it a breeze to take out enemies no matter the distance.

Best MP7 loadout for XDefiant Ranked

  • Barrel: Chrome Lined
  • Front Rail: Small Vert
  • Magazine: Quick Mag
  • Rear Grip: Quick Draw
  • Stock: Lightweight

For our best MP7 loadout in XDefiant Ranked, we want to make the SMG feel snappy but still powerful enough to delete players who get too close. To start, we’ve picked the Chrome Lined Barrel, offering a major damage buff at both close and mid-range that will chew through enemy health bars.

The combination of Small Vert Front Rail and Quick Draw Rear Grip drastically reduces the ADS time, guaranteeing you’ll be able to land the crucial first shots. Next up, the Lightweight Stock improves your overall walking speed and how fast you move while aiming, making the SMG feel very nimble.

Once again we’ve gone for Quick Mags to round out the class, as the MP7 can burn through ammo at a rapid pace, so you’ll find yourself reloading often.

Best Factions for XDefiant Ranked Play

The best Factions to use in XDefiant Ranked are Libertad and Echelon. Even more so than the public matches, competitive modes are all about working together and aiding your team, and these two Factions allow you to do just that.

Libertad’s healing abilities, especially the Espiritu de Libertad passive, will come in very handy in Ranked, as you’ll find that your team needs to stay in close proximity to one another to succeed. So, being able to constantly restore health to yourself and allies while securing an objective will come in clutch.

Meanwhile, Echelon and its Intel Suit ability provide key information to the team. The ability to ping enemies through walls allows you to choose your next play carefully, which is essential in close matches where one wrong move can result in defeat.

All this being said, however, it’s best to have a nice mix of Factions on your team so you can coordinate effectively. While these two are arguably the most important, a Phantom who can throw down a shield and a Cleaner who can quickly clear an objective are both extremely useful, so make sure you have all bases covered.

Libertad’s healing is vital in Ranked Play.

Best XDefiant Ranked secondary weapon

The best secondary weapon to run in XDefiant Ranked mode is the 93R, which will remind fans of the Rentti from MW3. This three-round burst Pistol has the lowest damage per shot in its class, but being able to rapidly land multiple shots with one squeeze of the trigger makes it the go-to sidearm.

Best 93R loadout in XDefiant Ranked

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
  • Magazine: Fast Mags
  • Rear Grip: Quick Draw

To put together the best 93R loadout for Ranked in XDefiant, we recommend starting with the Muzzle Booster. This boosts the rate of fire, allowing you to land three shots in the blink of an eye.

Since you’ll mostly resort to the secondary when your primary is out of ammo, speed is essential, so the Quick Draw Grip heavily improves the ADS and sprint-to-fire speeds. Then, Fast Mags cut down how long you’ll spend reloading.

That was everything you need to build the best loadout in XDefiant Ranked. It’s possible that the Season 1 update could introduce weapon and attachment restrictions, so we’ll be sure to update this page to fit with any rule changes.

To give yourself the best possible chance of victory in Ranked, make sure you’ve also got the best controller, audio, mouse and keyboard, and PC settings locked in.
