MW3 and Warzone‘s Season 2 update is scheduled to arrive on February 7, introducing a substantial amount of new content for both multiplayer and battle royale. Additionally, some unique rewards will be waiting in the Season 2 Battle Pass.
In Season 2, players will get a chance to secure the second BlackCell Battle Pass offering for both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, so let’s get into what you need to know.
MW3 & Warzone BlackCell Battle Pass explained
BlackCell is a premium Battle Pass option across MW3 and Warzone which replaced the Battle Pass Bundle.
The BlackCell Battle Pass comes with all of the content seen in the standard Battle Pass, as well as exclusive rewards. Here’s everything that the BlackCell Battle Pass will deliver in Season 2:
- Access to the full Season 2 Battle Pass and 20 Tier Skips (25 on PlayStation). Includes 1,400 CoD Points throughout the Battle Pass
- 1,100 CoD Points instantly
- John Doe BlackCell Operator
- “Molten BlackCell” SVA 545 AR Weapon Blueprint
- “Requiem BlackCell” Sidewinder BR Weapon Blueprint
- “Knuckle Sandwich” Operator Finishing Move
- BlackCell Sector serves as an alternative starting location for the Battle Pass
- Additional BlackCell-only Battle Pass content: 11 alternate BlackCell Operator skins and 6 alternate weapon blueprints
The Season 2 BlackCell Operator John Doe is accompanied by “dripping gold and glowing ethereal purple hue” skins for Soap, Farah, Price, and Valeria, alongside other Operator skins and a variety of weapon blueprints.
It’s important to note that players who purchased the standard Battle Pass for 1,100 CoD Points can upgrade to the BlackCell version at any point throughout the season, and they’ll receive their 1,100 CoD Points back.
MW3 & Warzone BlackCell Battle Pass price
The BlackCell Battle Pass in MW3 and Warzone is expected to cost $29.99 USD, following the same price the previous version had. While the price is usually provided in USD, the BlackCell Battle Pass is also expected to cost roughly $40 CAD and £25.
It’ll be up to players to decide whether the BlackCell Battle Pass is worth it. Keep in mind that the standard Battle Pass offering will still be available for 1,100 CoD Points, which equates to roughly $9.99 / £8.50.
