Before Warzone players earn enough cash to buy their loadout they must rely on ground loot to survive. However, many have called out the “trash” options found on Urzikstan.
Warzone players spend of time putting together their ideal loadout, from the weapons they run to the Perks they equip. When it comes to the endgame, choosing the right setup can give you the upper hand and help carry you to victory.
However, when you first land in Urzikstan you’re forced to survive using the guns found lying around. The game’s ground loot features a variety of different weapons, all with set combinations of attachments that cannot be changed, but many of these don’t use the meta options.
Now, Warzone players are calling for changes to ground loot, as they feel that the selection on offer is too underpowered. Reddit user ‘TyWestman’ shared a post titled ‘Make ground loot weapons cool again,’ where they highlighted some of the problems.
“I think this game would benefit a lot from more varied and overall better ground loot guns with varied attachments,” said the OP. “It would also help the casuals who aren’t dreaming every night about tomorrow’s meta to pick up a meta build with a cool camo to feel like they fit in a bit.”
The post sparked a number of replies about the state of ground loot in Warzone, with many agreeing that it needs to be improved.
All of the loot in Turdekistan is trash,” said one player. “Can never find any money and the whole map is just riddled with field upgrades and KV inhibitor sniper rifles everywhere. Seriously I’ll start looting one floor of a building and find 3 armor boxes, 2 ammunition boxes, 4 personal radars, 5 suppression mines, 2 KV inhibitors, and a carrack sniper.”
Others argued the speed at which players can get their own loadout in Warzone makes basic loot redundant anyway, as another fan replied: “There’s no point in ground loot anyway. Everyone got their loadout in the first 2 min of the game. Money is everywhere, you can just buy your guns or just keep buying loadouts.”
“I totally agree. Ground loot should be significantly better,” added another. “For starters, with the increased health, every gun should have the larger magazines by default,” said one player. “It’s absolutely ridiculous to have guns with 20 or 25 rounds in a game that takes 12 bullets to down.”
The Warzone Season 1 Reloaded and Season 2 updates are set to bring some substantial changes to the game, so players will be hoping that ground loot is one of the areas they address.
