The AMR9 has been the standout SMG Warzone since the Season 1 Reloaded update and CoD expert FaZe Swagg has revealed how to transform it into one of the “fastest-killing” long-range guns in the game.
The Warzone meta has shifted once again following Season 1 Reloaded and its subsequent updates. The MCW has finally become a top-tier Assault Rifle, while the MTZ Interceptor and WSP Swarm have been hit with major nerfs.
One of the weapons to benefit most from the changes is the AMR9, which has overtaken the Swarm and beat out the new HRM-9 to become the best SMG in the game to many players.
Now, Warzone expert Swagg has revealed how to make the AMR9 even better, with a build that actually gives a long-range TTK that rivals other meta picks.
“This gun, you can actually turn it into an AR build and it has one of the fastest-killing long-range abilities in the entire game,” Swagg said in his January 26 video. “This gun overall is an absolute tank, it kills way too quick.”
After trying it out in-game, Swagg found its TTK to be “insane” and urged players to give it a try. Check out his build below.
Swagg best long-range AMR9 loadout in Warzone
- Muzzle: JAK BFB
- Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Ammunition: 9mm High Grain Rounds
- Magazine: 50 Round Mag
The key to Swagg’s best AMR9 loadout in Warzone is the JAK BFB Muzzle and 9mm High Grain Rounds, which remove virtually all of the recoil and buff its bullet velocity, making it feel as accurate as an Assault Rifle over long distances.
These pair nicely with the DR-6 Handstop, adding even more stability to the SMG. He also went for the Slate Reflector, as it’s a clean Optic that doesn’t obscure too much of the screen when firing.
Lastly, Swagg picked the 50-Round Mag to ensure you can deal with entire squads before having to stop and reload.
At the time of writing, the AMR9 is already the most popular gun in Warzone according to wzranked, as it’s become the go-to Sniper support. But, with this build, Swagg believes the SMG could dominate another meta just as easily.
