Following the Season 1 Reloaded update, Raven Software finally nerfed the powerful MTZ Interceptor and WSP Swarm in Warzone, which have dominated the battle royale since MW3 integration.

Despite facing initial challenges, Warzone Season 1 Reloaded has captured the attention of players who are now delving into all the new content. Among them, Raven Software implemented various adjustments to existing weapons, strategically nerfing and buffing certain popular choices to reshape the meta.

However, keen-eyed players noticed that two of the most powerful weapons, the MTZ Interceptor and WSP Swarm, were missing from the list of adjusted weapons. Luckily, the dev team addressed this concern with a dedicated update on January 19, finally delivering the long-awaited nerfs.

In an X post, Raven shared the specific changes both guns suffered with the nerf introduced, affecting mainly their “damage values” across all ranges. Since Season 1, the MTZ Interceptor and WSP Swarm have dominated the game given their high damage, low recoil, and, in the case of the SMG, extremely high fire rate.

Regarding the MTZ Interceptor, the weapon resembles the notorious DMR. Despite its semi-automatic firing mode posing recoil challenges, certain attachments turned the weapon into a laser beam.

For close ranges, the WSP Swarm was the most popular weapon you’d come across given its extremely high fire rate and damage, which gave it the best TTK in the game. With almost no recoil, this SMG was the favorite of the vast majority of players to dominate the interior of Urzikstan’s buildings.
