Black Ops 6 integration with Warzone is headlined by the new Area 99 map, and certain POIs will look familiar to players as it’s the birthplace of the iconic Call of Duty map Nuketown.
The CoD Next event on August 28 gave players a deep dive into BO6 multiplayer, but it also peeled back the curtain on the next era of Warzone. Major gameplay changes are hitting the battle royale including tweaks to the looting system and Perks.
When Season 1 arrives, you’ll be able to test out these major changes on the debuting Area 99 map. The industrial area in the Nevada desert features POIs like Warehouse, Loading Bay, and Manufacturing, as a top secret government facility concealed from the public.
If this all looks and sounds a little familiar, you’re in for a pleasant surprise, as the devs confirmed that Area 99 is in fact where Nuketown all began. The new Warzone map is directly tied to the fan-favorite CoD map.
