Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 is the next major update for the Call of Duty title, and it’s approaching quickly. Here’s the MW3 Season 3 release date, as well as the expected content.

With each season, Modern Warfare 3 players receive new maps, weapons, and modes. While Season 2 brought plenty of new content to discover at the start of 2024, players have their sights set on Season 3.

MW3 Season 3 will once again refresh the title, as the devs look to bring new experiences to the game. Thanks to the Season 2 Battle Pass and a Warzone Mobile blog from the devs, we know exactly when Season 3 will roll around.

MW3 Season 3 update release date

MW3 Season 3 will arrive on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, as confirmed by the Call of Duty devs in a Warzone Mobile blog.

The blog explains that Warzone Mobile players “can purchase one of the Battle Passes and spend the remaining time within Season 2 unlocking the items within this Battle Pass, until the start of next new Season on April 3.”

The Battle Pass timer in Modern Warfare 3 also points to an April 3 release date for Season 3. If any delays arise, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Leak teases new MW3 Season 3 weapons

Back in October 2023, several leaks related to MW3 Season 3 weapons began to surface. These leaks teased the return of several popular weapons from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare in MW3 Season 3.

The leaked weapons include:

Bal-27 Assault Rifle
MORS Sniper Rifle
AMS1 SMG
EM1

The leaks were shared by HYP0ESTHESIA on X and corroborated by fellow leaker HeyImAlaix. The former previously leaked unreleased weapons for Season 1 and Season 2 accurately.

Keep in mind that these are still just leaks at the moment, and nothing has been confirmed by the devs yet in terms of new Season 3 weapons.
