MW3 and Warzone received a ton of events offering players a variety of free rewards to earn. In the Zombies-themed Horde Hunt event, to get one of the rewards players must gather Mimic Skulls, so here’s how you can earn them in MW3 and Warzone.
MW3 and Warzone Season 2 are fully underway bringing a ton of new content to the games. This includes brand-new 6v6 maps, the return of Fortune’s Keep, several weapon buffs and nerfs, and fresh additions to the roster, such as the BP50 and RAM-9.
Additionally, the seasonal update added several free events offering players exclusive rewards for completing in-game challenges within both titles. Among them is Horde Hunt, a Zombies-themed event that challenges players to meet special requirements to unlock cosmetic rewards.
One of the challenges requires players to kill Mimics to get Mimic Skulls and earn the Cursed Ammo reward, so here’s the best way to earn them in MW3 and Warzone.
How to farm Mimic Skulls in MW3 & Warzone
To earn the Cursed Ammo reward in MW3 and Warzone, players will have to farm Mimic kills and gather 200 Mimic Skulls during the Horde Hunt event.
Mimic are a special Zombies type characterized by tentacle arms and a gigantic mouth which can be found in MW3’s multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone Resurgence.

To get Mimic Skulls in MW3 multiplayer, the best way to farm them is by playing the Hordepoint Mimic Mania playlist within the Horde Hunt event. When killing a Mimic within the LTM, there’s a chance this Zombies type will drop a Skull, which will count towards your challenge progression.
The MW3 playlist offers the fastest method to farm Mimic Skulls, and luckily, SHG announced on February 21 that the drop rate of Mimic Skulls has been significantly increased to “assist with the Horde Hunt challenges.”

How to get Mimic Skulls in Warzone Horde Hunt event
Despite the event’s description stating all the Horde Hunt challenges can also be completed in Warzone, players have noticed that there’s currently no way to get Mimic Skulls in Warzone, as Mimics don’t appear within battle royale or Resurgence matches.
