Some enemies you will find in Urzikstan in MW3 Zombies are much deadlier than the regular Zombies, with each Threat Zone packing stronger versions of them. Mimics can often appear during your missions in the open-world map of MWZ, so knowing how to handle and find them is important.
Mimics possess a shapeshifting ability that can turn the tides in their favor during high-level Threat Zone battles. That’s why knowing when to expect Mimics and what to use against them will make your life easier.

MW3 Zombies: Mimic locations
ActivisionMimics are some of the trickiest enemies in MW3 Zombies.
Mimics are a special kind of zombie in MW3 Zombies that can be found across multiple areas in Urzikstan. Some missions, contracts, or Strongholds are packed with hidden Mimics that can complicate things if you have a horde at your back.
Here’s where you can find Mimics in MW3 Zombies:
- Aether Nests
- Infected Stronghold locations
- High-Value Target contract missions
Mimics can spawn during Aether Nest clean-up missions or during the Infected Strongholds horde of enemies. Also, Big Bounty contracts that involve HVTs can spawn either a Disciple, Mangler, or Mimic enemy, so be on the lookout for a crosshair icon on your tac map to locate this mission.
How to kill Mimics in MW3 Zombies
The best way to kill a Mimic in MW3 Zombies is by aiming at its mouth, which is the critical hit point of the enemy. With decent aim, you can take some distance from the enemy and unload your magazine into the Mimic’s mouth.
Automatic weapons like ARs or high-damage SMGs are your best bet for taking down Mimics fast when they spawn. Since they can disguise themselves as loot caches, weapons, Equipment, and more items in Urzikstan, do not panic when they appear and stick to this strategy.
Pack-a-Punched weapons and the Energy Mine Field Upgrade are also some of the best tactics against Mimics in Zombies. The added and elemental damage of these can take down the Mimic’s HP bar faster than normal weapons.
