Best XMG loadout in Black Ops 6 beta

While Assault Rifles and SMGs have understandably taken over the Black Ops 6 beta, the XMG is a deadly LMG that can hold its own with the best of them – especially if you have the best loadout.

This early test of Treyarch’s next multiplayer is packed full of powerful weapons, each with a distinct feel and playstyle. If you like to pick enemies off at long range without the pressure of sniping, then the XMG is the gun for you.

Here’s the best XMG loadout in Black Ops 6, complete with attachments, Perks, and Equipment.

Best Black Ops 6 XMG loadout attachments

  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Optic: Keepler Microflex
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Fast Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip

The best XMG loadout is all about enhancing its already impressive range, which we can do by starting with the Long Barrel. With this attachment equipped, you’ll be able to gun down players from across the map with ease.

We also want to address some of its shortcomings, so the Ranger Foregrip is an essential pick. Not only does it offer some extra recoil control to keep your shots accurate, but it also buffs the overall movement and sprint speed, making the LMG feel more mobile to use.

Next up is Fast Mag I, which improves the ADS and sprint-to-fire speed at the expense of some ammo capacity, but 75 rounds should still be more than enough to melt through enemy teams. This pairs nicely with the Quickdraw Grip, which further buffs the ADS speed to let the XMG compete with more nimble ARs.

Finally, the Keepler Microflex is a clean Optic that makes it much easier to land headshots at a distance. However, this is mostly down to personal preference, so feel free to run your preferred sight, or ditch the Optic altogether in favor of a Muzzle or Fire Mod.

XMG LMG in Black Ops 6

The XMG is the only LMG available in the beta.

Best Perks & Equipment for XMG loadout

  • Wildcard: Perk Greed
  • Perk 1: Assassin
  • Perk 2: Gung-Ho
  • Perk 3: Double Time
  • Perk 4: Ghost
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Flashbang
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System

As an LMG, the XMG isn’t the most mobile of guns. That’s why we’ve focused on the Enforcer category to unlock its Combat Speciality bonus, which grants you a movement and health regen buff after every single kill.

Kicking things off is Assassin, which pings enemies on the map who are on a kill streak, helping you hunt them down and keep up your movement increase. Then, Gung-Ho lets you reload while sprinting to ensure you get back into the action quickly.

To make up for the slower speeds when running, Double Time drastically increases its duration so you can still get around the map with ease. With the help of the Perk Greed Wild card, we can also throw Ghost in the next to keep you off the enemy radar.

When it comes to Equipment, Semtex is a surefire way to secure an easy kill, while Flashbangs are perfect for blinding players before taking them out.

Finally, the Trophy System is a must-use Field Upgrade, as it blocks incoming explosives while you’re trying to capture or defend a point.

How to unlock XMG in Black Ops 6 beta

The XMG is available from the get-go in the Black Ops 6 beta, meaning you don’t have to do anything to unlock it. However, you don’t access custom loadouts until Level 4, so there is some work to do before you can start experimenting with builds.

It should only take a handful of matches to hit the required level though, and that gives you plenty of time to tinker with attachments before the beta closes.

Best XMG alternatives

If the XMG isn’t really your style, the XM4 Assault Rifle has emerged as one of the best guns in the beta so far. Alternatively, if you still want to pack a punch from long range, the SVD Sniper Rifle is the way to go.

Now that you’re all set with the best XMG loadout in Black Ops 6, make you’re also running the ideal PC, controller, and audio settings to dominate the battlefield.
