Black Ops 6‘s early access beta is over, but the second weekend opens the test up to all players on September 6. Early access allowed Treyarch to monitor player feedback and gameplay before opening the gates, and they’ve already announced some changes to improve the experience.
Players haven’t been too happy with spawns and some of the weapon balancing, but luckily the devs are bringing some tuning for the second weekend, as well as some new content.
So, here’s everything you can expect in Black Ops 6’s second beta weekend.
New content, updates & fixes for second BO6 beta weekend
- Level cap raised to 30
- Weapon Balancing
- Spawn tuning
- Increased Weapon XP earn rate
- Audio improvements
- Bug fixes + more
Weekend 1 of the #BlackOps6 Open Beta has officially ended!
Thank you for playing and providing your feedback. The action continues Sept. 6 at 10 AM PT in the Open Beta, along with plenty of new content, updates, and fixes, including:

Treyarch announced these updates and fixes on September 4. The weapon balancing will likely bring some tuning for the Jackal PDW, which many players claimed was overpowered in the early access beta.
Spawns were also a major complaint, with some claiming that they were constantly flipping, while others felt they were too spawn-trappy.
Players also claimed that the earning weapon XP was too slow as well, which made it a grind to unlock attachments. The Open Beta will address this by increasing the rate at which Weapon XP is gained. This should allow players to level up their weapons quickly and try out various builds for weapons.
Speaking of leveling, the max rank will be increased from 20 to 30, allowing you to unlock more content for custom loadouts, including some new weapons. If you managed to reach level 20 in early access, you’ll start the Open Beta from that level, giving you a head start for other content.
There will also be some audio improvements and bug fixes, so hopefully, the Open Beta will be a smooth experience for all.
If you want the best experience, make sure you’re locked in with the best BO6 controller or M&K settings, as well as the best options for performance on PC.
