LMGs (Light Machine Guns) are hard-hitting high caliber weapons in XDefiant. So, here are the best LMGs from the game during the preseason.

XDefiant has weapons that cater to players across a variety of playstyles. You can make your own loadout using any weapon of your choice from the given arsenal.

When choosing the best gun in the game, LMGs are a strong choice if you prefer the spray-and-pray playstyle. Although you’ll have to deal with a considerable amount of recoil, the shots that you land on the enemy will deplete a good chunk of their health bar.

So, here is a ranked list of all the LMGs that you will come across in the game.

At launch, you will come across three LMGs in XDefiant but more of them are set to arrive once Season 1 goes live in the game. Here’s a ranked list of the weapons that are available currently.

3. M249

The M249 is the weakest LMG in the game.

The M249 is the first LMG that you will be able to access in XDefiant. Without any attachments, the weapon struggles to make a mark on the battlefield.

While it does have a decent damage output, you’ll have a hard time controlling the recoil, making it hard to hit a target. The M249 has the highest damage fall-off at long range among all the weapons on this list and is the weakest LMG at launch.

2. RPK-74

The RPK-74 has the fastest reload time on this list.

The RPK-74 packs a punch, but just like the other LMGs in the game, it suffers from high recoil. However, in the right hands, the weapon can make quick work of the enemy.

To unlock this weapon in XDefiant, you need to deal 10,000 damage to enemies using Light Machine Guns. You can do this in any multiplayer mode.

You’ll need three seconds to reload a clip, thanks to its low magazine size. Thanks to its design, you’ll be able to move swiftly on the battlefield and will be effective at mid to long-range with the right optics.

1. M60

The M60 is the best LMG in the game.

The M60 is by far, the strongest LMG in XDefiant, but you will have to deal 5000 damage to enemy equipment to unlock this weapon.

This weapon hits very hard, but it has a high reload speed and inhibits your ability to move swiftly on the map. The damage falloff at long range isn’t significant either, and you can overcome the reload speed deficit with some attachments easily.
