Warzone Season 3 Reloaded brings the new Heavy Armor Public Event, which drastically changes how players need to approach the match. Here’s a breakdown of how Heavy Armor impacts games in Warzone.
After a huge content drop at the start of Season 3, Warzone Season 3 Reloaded is yet another massive update. On top of the new BAL-27 Assault Rifle and returning Specialist Perk, there’s also the new Heavy Armor Public Event that comes with major implications in each match it pops up in.
Here’s everything you need to know about Heavy Armor in Warzone.
What is Warzone Heavy Armor Public Event?
Warzone’s Heavy Armor Public Event increases the maximum number of armor plates that can be equipped by one, taking the total up from three to four. This offers each player an extra 50hp of protection and increases the time-to-kill.
The event is only available on Rebirth Island Resurgence modes and will be announced at the beginning of the match as all players infill. It occurs at random and the devs have described it as “rare,” so there’s no way to guarantee it’ll trigger when you hop into a game.
Every player in the match is automatically awarded the additional armor slot and starts the game with three out of four already full.
The only exception is those running Tempered, as they have just three armor plate slots with 66.7hp per plate instead of the usual 50. Anyone with his Perk equipped starts with two full armor plates while the third only has partial health.
Although Heavy Armor only brings one small change to the game, it’ll likely drastically alter the flow of a Warzone match. Gunfights will last much longer than normal, meaning teams will have to be more cautious in deciding when to try and pick off an enemy.
Not only that, ammo will become more valuable than ever as each encounter demands even more rounds than before.
We’ll have to wait for the Heavy Armor Public event to go live in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded to see just how much it affects each match, but it’s definitely an interesting addition that’s going to keep things fresh.
