The BAL-27 Assault Rifle from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare arrives in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone later in Season 3, so here’s how to unlock it when it arrives.

The leaks were true, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 3 brings weapons from 2014’s Advanced Warfare. The MORS Sniper Rifle arrives at launch but the BAL-27 AR will arrive in the mid-season update.

Mid-season weapons are always unlocked in one of several ways, so here’s everything we know about unlocking the BAL-27 in MW3 and Warzone.

How to unlock BAL-27 in Warzone & MW3

The BAL-27 will be unlocked through either a new sector in the Season 3 Battle Pass, a Weekly Challenge, or an Armory Unlock after the Season 3 Reloaded update. The SOA Subverter and Soulrender were unlocked through a weekly challenge and the Battle Pass respectively in Season 2 Reloaded.

If Season 3 follows the same schedule as previous seasons, the Reloaded update is set to arrive on Wednesday, May 1.

The BAL-27 was quickly called one of the most overpowered guns back when Advanced Warfare launched in 2014. What makes it unique is that the rate of fire increases as you hold the trigger, offering slow but accurate initial shots before having a rapid fire rate as the mag runs out.

The devs said it “shreds” at closer ranges but will have a “moderate kick that drifts upwards” so you might not be using it to beam players across the map. But, with a 60 Round Mag, it might just be the go-to Sniper Support option in Season 3 Reloaded.
