What are Special Zombies in MW3?
Special Zombies in MW3 are Mimics, Manglers, and Disciples. These Special Zombies are different to regular ones, as they have special capabilities and are generally harder to defeat. They tend to appear in Medium and High Threat Zones, but they also appear during Bounty Contracts in the Low Threat Zone.
According to the official description on Call of Duty’s website, Special Zombie are “bigger and badder than your normal Zombie.”

Best way to find Special Zombies in MW3
The easiest and best way to find Special Zombies in MW3 is by starting an Escort Contract in the Medium or High Threat Zones. This Contract requires you to protect a vehicle, but as you do so, loads of Manglers and Mimics will also spawn.
If you’re looking to kill Special Zombies to complete a challenge this is the way to do it. You can also just go straight to the High Level Threat Zone to test your might, as you’ll also find plenty there too.
