The Warzone Season 5 Reloaded release date will mark the halfway point of the season, as players receive content to refresh the battle royale until the next major seasonal drop.

Here’s a look at the new weapons, modes, and features coming to the game with the mid-season update.

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded release date

The Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update will arrive on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. This date comes from the in-game timer on the Classified Sector of the Battle Pass.

The devs have not confirmed the release date, but in previous seasons the Classified Sector timer has been a reliable source for identifying the arrival of the mid-season update. If this changes throughout the season we’ll be sure to let you know.

New weapons in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded

The Torque 35 Launcher and the Spear Melee are the two new weapons arriving with Season 5 Reloaded.

The Spear will be available through the Classified Sector of the Battle Pass. Meanwhile, the Torque 35 will be available through the Weekly Challenge system. Both are incredibly unique weapons at this stage of the game.

While the Torque is classified as a Launcher, the Season 5 blog describes it as a “compound bow with 20 retrievable arrows.” This won’t be the first time a bow-type weapon has made its way to Warzone. If the Combat Bow was anything to go by, you won’t want to miss out on the Torque 35 and its “array of Ammunition options.”

The new Melee weapon will give players three Spears when they spawn. These Spears can either be thrown at enemies or used to pierce them up close. You also won’t have to worry about running out of ammunition, since “thrown Spears can be retrieved from the environment.”

Recon Flyover event

The Recon Flyover event will use two waves of Advanced UAVs to highlight scanned Warzone Operators. If you’re marked, other players will get your exact coordinates and converge on your location. Alternatively, it could also work in your favor as you seek to eliminate enemy Operators after learning their exact location.

Supreme Resurgence mode returns to Warzone

Rebirth Island will be host to the Supreme Resurgence mode, as it makes a return in Season 5 Reloaded. The major changes in this mode include increased health, an increase in loadout price, and that the map features top-tier ground loot.

Players are therefore incentivized to use the “meta-inspired Weapon Blueprints” across the map. You can earn the Spilled Beans camp by winning your first Supreme Resurgence map when the mid-season update arrives.

Elite Contracts

Elite Contracts are going to spice up Warzone strategy in Season 5 Reloaded as superior versions of normal Contracts. These boosted Contracts will provide greater rewards, but they’ll also be more difficult to complete with less time on your side.

Completing an Elite Contract always results in the following rewards:

• Bonus XP
• Cash
• One of the following
  • Foresight Killstreak
  • Multiple Redacted Weapons
  • Specialist Perk Package
  • Advanced UAV

For now, Season 5’s STG has surged to the top of the meta, so don’t waste any time unlocking the new Assault Rifle.
