Warzone expert Swagg reveals iconic SMG to replace WSP Swarm meta

The WSP Swarm has dominated the close-range meta since Warzone Season 1 began, thanks to its huge magazines and blistering fire rate. Now, CoD expert FaZe Swagg has revealed which iconic SMG is set to replace it as the game’s best.
Although Warzone features a huge arsenal of weapons after the game integrated with Modern Warfare 3 at the start of Season 1, as always, a few picks have risen to the top of the meta. The KATT-AMR has become the go-to Sniper Rifle, while the MTZ Interceptor has terrorized lobbies.
When it comes to close-range fights, the WSP Swarm has been the dominant gun on Urzikstan so far. Its rapid TTK paired with the 100 Round Mag option has made it a force to be reckoned with.
However, with Warzone Season 1 Reloaded likely to nerf the Swarm, CoD guru has revealed which fan-favorite SMG could step up and take the throne.
In his January 17 video, Swagg explained that he expects the WSP Swarm to be “cooked” by upcoming nerfs, but picked out the VEL 46, better known as the MP7, as a potential successor.
“The meta’s going to shift a lot and the gun that a lot of people forget, that was once the OG meta, is an absolute fan favorite – the MP7,” the YouTuber said. “It’s one of the only MW2 guns you can pick up as ground loot and it still gets busy.”

Swagg began his best VEL 46 loadout in Warzone with the Shadowstrike Suppressor S to keep players hidden from the map, alongside the Lach-152 Zulu Barrel for ADS speed buffs to ensure they always land the first shot.
Then, he went for the ZLR Combat Grip and FTAC MSP-98 Handstop to keep some of the SMG’s recoil in check, as well as boost the overall movement speed. Finally, he chose 50 Round Mags to improve the ammo capacity without sacrificing too much mobility.
With the WSP Swarm likely to decrease in popularity in the coming weeks, Swagg urged players to give this VEL 46 setup a go, as it might just be the perfect replacement.
