Warzone Season 1 Reloaded is set to bring several new features with the intention of altering how the battle royale plays. However, after player backlash, Raven Software decided to make a major change to Covert Exfils.

The Warzone team has been busy improving the battle royale and Resurgence experiences throughout Season 1, including a host of quality-of-life improvements and content.

To continue this trend, Season 1 Reloaded was set to bring the new Covert Exfil feature to the battle royale, allowing players to escape the game before it ends. Upon learning how it works, players quickly raised concerns and slammed the new feature.

In response, the Warzone devs promptly addressed these concerns, announcing a solution to the problem.

Warzone’s Covert Exfil feature added to “dedicated mode”

Warzone devs Raven Software have decided to move Season 1 Reloaded’s Covert Exfil feature into a “dedicated mode,” instead of launching it in the “standard Battle Royale.” The team stated that they “believe that Covert Exfil and the gameplay loop it provides… will make will make for an exciting addition to Warzone.”

There’s no telling when the “upcoming dedicated mode” will arrive, but we’ll keep you posted with any additional updates from Raven.

This will let players continue engaging in the classic Battle Royale experience without the inclusion of the Covert Exfil feature and Weapon Case. Yet, players who are interested in experiencing the DMZ-style exfil in Warzone BR will be allowed to do it separately.
