MW3 players slam “horrible” AMR9 Aftermarket Part that makes gun weaker

Since their arrival, several MW3 Aftermarket Parts have been slammed due to failing to improve weapon performance. After the Season 1 AMP roster was introduced, players found another “horrible” case with the AMR9.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 brought an extensive array of content, featuring the return of the beloved RAM-7 Assault Rifle, the cutting-edge XRK Stalker Sniper Rifle, and the Stormender launcher.
Despite Season 1 Reloaded being set to further expand the weapon arsenal bringing two new guns, the introduction of the Aftermarket Parts (AMP) granted players the opportunity to enlarge customization possibilities.
However, since their release, many players noticed that several AMPs failed to effectively improve the weapon’s performance. In a Reddit post, user ‘FistOfSven’ on Reddit shared a video from multiplayer expert TheXclusiveAce where he breaks down the “horrible” AMR9 AMP.
In his video, the creator highlights the “damage values don’t change at all,” and the same happens with the rate of fire, which ultimately “hurts” the gun’s TTK.
“Wow, so there is zero reason to use it then,” a user expressed in the comments. One user added, “Yeah it truly feels worthless. Kinda cool aesthetically but that’s about it. I’m not sure who this is for…it’s absolutely dogs**t.
Then, another player questioned the MW3 AMP functionality, “I played 1 match with it and it’s dog s**t. Aren’t these AMPs supposed to make the guns better?” In reply, a player comically added, “What a fine addition to the game this new gimmick is proving!”
While the future of the AMR9 AMP remains uncertain, the creator believes it’s “bugged” as he “can’t honestly believe they intended it to work this way.”
