Hot on the heels of the Godzilla x Kong crossover, the MW3 devs are keeping the momentum going in Season 3 with Blaze Up, a special 420-themed event. As always, players will have the opportunity to earn free rewards by simply playing the game.
Here’s everything you need to know about the MW3 Blaze Up event, including when it begins.
MW3 Blaze Up event start date
The MW3 Blaze Up event gets underway on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, the same day as Warzone’s 420 event – High Trip. It’s expected to go live at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST.
It hasn’t been announced how long the event will go on for, but given its 420 theme, it will likely last for a couple of weeks to ensure it is still active when April 20 rolls around.
MW3 Blaze Up event explained
Modern Warfare 3’s Blaze Up event will allow players to earn free rewards by completing in-game challenges. While some events are purely about earning XP, the Season 3 blog confirmed that this one will come with unique objectives.
Each objective will earn a special reward, such as a Weapon Sticker or Double XP Token, and those who complete each one will unlock a big reward. This is usually a one-off Blueprint or camo that is only available as part of the event.
Unfortunately, we won’t know the full slate of rewards up for grabs until Blaze Up arrives on April 10.
G3T High parkour mode
Dataminers also uncovered a new parkour mode called G3T HIGH in the Season 3 update files, which is expected to appear in the event as an LTM. Based on the footage uncovered, it appears to take place on an Only Up-inspired map, where players will be asked to reach the top in a single run.
However, nothing has been confirmed by the debs just yet, so it’s possible they may be saving this mode for something else later down the line. But, based on the leaked name and the Blaze Up event’s theme, the two seem like a perfect match.
