MW3 Season 2 The Walking Dead Operators & Hordepoint mode
The devs revealed that Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 will feature a The Walking Dead crossover. Players can expect both Rick Grimes and Michonne Operators to be available in MW3.
These additions are meant to celebrate the start of The Walking Dead‘s spinoff series called The Ones Who Live, which features both Grimes and Michonne in leading roles.
A themed The Walking Dead event is likely to make its way to Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 with unique rewards up for grabs. In addition, players will get the chance to test out a new mode called Hordepoint. At the moment, little is known about what the mode could bring. However, from the trailer below, it seems like a zombie-filled twist on Hardpoint.

At the moment, there’s no telling when these maps will arrive, but it’s likely that one will only make its way to MW3 with the mid-season update.
The trailer also gives players a preview of a few maps that are set to receive event-themed overhauls to fit in with The Walking Dead crossover.
- Overgrown (Skidrow)
- Overrun (Terminal)
- Overloaded
Based on the trailer, we haven’t deciphered what the Overloaded map could be, but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we find out. Each of the maps gives players a look at what the battlegrounds might look like years into a Zombie outbreak.
