The HRM-9 SMG is one of two new weapons arriving in Warzone and MW3 Season 1 Reloaded, and it’s set to be a fresh contender in the close-range meta. Here’s how to unlock the HRM-9 SMG in MW3 and Warzone.
In total, Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone brings five new weapons to the game. At the very start of Season 1 players received the RAM-7, XRK Stalker, and the Stormender. Each weapon has brought something new to the table and the Season 1 Reloaded update further expands the weapon arsenal.
The HRM-9 is a brand-new SMG making its way to MW3 and Warzone, but it’s not included in the Battle Pass like the other Season 1 weapons, so you might be wondering how to get it.
Here’s how to unlock the HRM-9 SMG in Warzone and MW3 when it arrives.
How to unlock HRM-9 in Warzone & Modern Warfare 3
MW3 and Warzone’s HRM-9 SMG will be unlocked through the Armory Unlock system when it arrives on January 17, 2024, meaning you’ll have to complete a set amount of daily challenges.
It remains to be seen how many challenges players will have to complete to unlock the HRM-9 SMG, but most weapons tend to require anywhere from three to eight challenges. Completing daily challenges in MW3 and Warzone or securing wins in multiplayer matches will count towards the requirements.
If you’re wondering what the HRM-9 brings to the table, the devs describe it as a “light yet stable 9mm submachine gun for close-quarters combat and putting down enemies quickly.”
The weapon is expected to boast a blistering fire rate alongside top-tier mobility. It’ll be interesting to see where the new SMG fits into the MW3 and Warzone meta and whether it will surpass the WSP Swarm that has dominated the battle royale’s close-range meta since the start of Season 1.
