To celebrate four years of Warzone, the devs are releasing a free weapon skin for players to earn. So, here’s everything we know about how to get the 4th Anniversary camo in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3.
Warzone first launched back in 2020 and players immediately fell in love with the CoD battle royale, and particularly the Verdansk map. In the years that followed, the game evolved with new maps like Caldera, Al Mazrah, and now Urzikstan.
To celebrate the four-year anniversary since its initial release, the devs are releasing a unique weapon camo that pays homage to the game’s history. But even better than that, it’s absolutely free for fans to unlock.
So, here’s everything we know about how to get the free 4th Anniversary camo and Modern Warfare 3.
How to unlock 4th Anniversary camo in MW3 & Warzone
The Warzone 4th Anniversary skin will arrive in Wazone and MW3 during Season 3, but it hasn’t been confirmed how it will be unlocked. The third season is expected to begin on Wednesday, April 12, and the camo will likely be available as part of an anniversary event, but this hasn’t been announced by the devs.
If the skin is one of the rewards for an in-game event, players will either have to rack up a certain amount of XP or complete specific challenges. 2023’s anniversary reward was offered as a free bundle, but since it appears that players will have to “earn” the 2024 version, it appears more steps will be involved.

The Warzone 4th Anniversary skin itself is a celebration of the game’s history. Players will notice several nods to the various eras, including references to Rebirth Island, Urzikstan Rail, and the Gulag.
In the announcement video shared by the devs, the camo is equipped to an MCW Assault Rifle. However, once it’s released, it’s unclear if you’ll be able to use the skin on any weapon in the game, so you can join in the celebration no matter which guns you use.
