A new Call of Duty 2024 leak has revealed that the new game, reportedly titled Black Ops Gulf War and developed by Treyarch, will feature an open-world campaign developed by Raven Software.
Modern Warfare 3 is only heading into its second season, but players are already beginning to wonder what the next Call of Duty installment could look like. Luckily, a number of leaks have revealed some early details on what CoD 2024 could be.
The project, which is expected to be developed by Treyarch, will reportedly be titled Black Ops Gulf War, and mark the return of Outbreak Zombies with an early access period.
Little is known about CoD 2024’s multiplayer but, now, a fresh report from Insider Gaming may have shed some light on the campaign.
According to the leak from Tom Henderson, Black Ops Gulf War will feature an open-world campaign, giving players a wide open space to explore “more akin to that of Far Cry” than the usual linear missions. MW3 experimented with the concept in its Open Combat Missions, but it appears that CoD 2024 will take things one step further.
As part of this shift to a more open setting, the game will feature vehicles to help them get around the map and travel to their next objective, as well as a fast travel system. However, the report also mentions that there will still be some more traditional end-to-end missions.

Leaks have claimed that CoD 2024 will mark the return of Outbreak.
Story details remain sparse at the moment, but Russel Adler, the antagonist from 2020’s Black Ops Cold War, is set to play a role in the campaign – possibly on your team if the leaks are to be believed.
While Treyarch is expected to handle the multiplayer and Zombies component of CoD 2024, Insider Gaming claimed that Raven Software are handling the campaign this time around, following their work on MW3 and Warzone.
The same report went on to mention that Black Ops Gulf War is eyeing an October release date, slightly earlier than the November 10 launch we saw with last year’s game. Of course, is this all based on leaks for now, so take it with a pinch of salt until CoD 2024 is revealed by the devs.
