Throwing Knives have always been a hot topic in the Warzone community, as players fiercely debate whether they should one-shot enemies. Now, in the Season 2 Reloaded update, they’ve been handed a substantial nerf.

The Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update has arrived, bringing the new Bunker Buster Killstreak and the returning PDS Field Upgrade. It also came with a ton of buffs and nerfs in an effort to make the game feel more balanced.

Guns like the BP50 and MTZ-762 were handed hefty nerfs, but it wasn’t just weapons that were on the receiving end of some changes. In fact, various attachments and Equipment were also adjusted to prevent them from being abused.

Among these are the ever-controversial Throwing Knives, which received a major nerf of their own that could drastically alter how often they are used.

Following the midseason update, Throwing Knives have had their damage reduced to “175, down from 200.” While this may seem like a relatively minor change, it has a major impact on how they perform in-game.

Going forward, the items will only be a one-shot kill with a headshot or when using them to finish off a downed enemy.

After this nerf, Throwing Knives no longer down a fully-plated enemy with a chest shot, instead their armor will be broken but they’ll still need a follow-up shot to secure the kill. This is a much different story compared to before the update, where a well-placed hit to the chest, or even arms, would knock a player.
