Given the tension that the Gulag mechanic has, players must ensure they have the best strategy and vision possible. However, following the introduction of the night Gulag in Warzone, many have slammed the “worse” visibility preventing them from seeing enemies.
In Warzone, the ability to rejoin a match depends on surviving in the Gulag, regardless of any adversity. Achieving this requires employing the most effective strategy to enhance the overall experience and emerge victorious.
However, visibility in the tense 1v1 fight has been one of the most frequent complaints of the players. Once again, many slammed the introduction of the night version, which makes it impossible to see the enemies.
In a Reddit post, user ‘Paulrevere1188’ shared a video ironically titled “NVG Gulag Has Great Visibility…” and followed with, “Whose idea was this….”
In the video, the OP tries to eliminate an opponent but is defeated because of the NVG Gulag’s low visibility, preventing them from seeing the opponent.
Players agreed that the NVG version of the Gulag is “such a massive L.” Another user added that devs probably “didn’t consider all of the unnecessary visual smoke, fire, and shake that comes from the gun.”
When shooting in the dark, the smoke and visual fire of the weapon completely obstructs the players’ field of view. While this also happens in Warzone‘s normal Gulag version, players believe that the night version makes this situation worse.
“There is absolutely no testing in this game. jesus,” a player mentioned. Then, another user chimed in, pointing out, “I love how their idea of ‘events’ is literally just restricting visibility with fog, night or haze.”
Additionally, players noted that the night Gulag version forces them to play with the Tac Stance feature active, adding even more drawbacks within the already dark 1v1 matchup.
