The RAM-7 was the dominant weapon in Warzone for many weeks, but after being hit with a substantial nerf in the Season 2 update, players are swapping it for a new meta Assault Rifle.
The Warzone meta is constantly evolving, as the devs release new guns as well as balancing changes. Season 2 was no exception, with the BP50 and RAM-9 being thrown into the mix, alongside a host of buffs and nerfs to the existing lineup of weapons.
One of the options hit hardest by the patch was the RAM-7, which had dominated matches throughout Season 1 Reloaded thanks to its fast fire rate and low recoil. The rifle was handed a nerf to its minimum and mid-damage values. dropping to 22 and 24 from 25 and 28 respectively.
This left a glaring hole at the top of the meta as Warzone players searched for a new go-to AR, and it didn’t take long for them to find a worthy replacement.
According to WZ Ranked, the SVA 545 has replaced the RAM-7 as the most popular gun in Warzone since the Season 2 update. Its pick rate has risen from around 9% to 23.28% at the time of writing, which sees it climb from the fourth spot to number one on the rankings.
