Warzone is full of Perks that grant different bonuses, but CoD expert IceManIsaac has explained why you players should avoid one of the game’s most popular options.
While choosing the meta weapons in Warzone is essential, there’s plenty more to consider when building the ideal loadout. Players have hundreds of powerful attachments to pick from, as well as Lethal and Tactical Equipment to help them survive.
Arguably one of the most important aspects of any build are the Perks, which offer unique bonuses to help counter certain tactics or support a specific playstyle. Although there are plenty to choose from in each slot, there are a handful that are widely considered the best.
However, Warzone expert IceManIsaac has urged players to abandon one of the most popular Perks in the game. In an upload to his channel, the YouTuber explained that you should steer clear of Tempered, as its effects aren’t as useful as first thought.
Tempered has been a staple for many players ever since it was added, as it reduces the number of plates required for full armor and allows you to replenish them back up to maximum quickly during intense gunfights.
But, IceManIsaac compared the Perk to Quick Fix, which starts health regeneration after earning a kill or plating up, and found that the latter is actually more effective and “it’s not even close.”
He discovered that while on low health, plating with Quick Fix means that you’ll be back to full HP and armor after just over 2.5 seconds. Meanwhile, Tempered doesn’t achieve the same feat for over seven seconds in Warzone.
While Temepered does offer more health and armor initially, it soon lags behind and leaves you exposed for almost five seconds while you wait for everything to regenerate. While this may seem like a minor difference, it could prove costly in the endgame.
IceManIsaac went on to say there is “no reason” to run Tempered in Warzone right now, as even the extra armor plates don’t make up for its shortcomings, since those who play aggressively will constantly be picking up fresh ones.
So, if you’re looking to build the best loadout possible, consider switching to Quick Fix going forward. For more on Warzone, check out another iconic Perk that’s not worth using and how to get the free Golden Phantom Ghost skin.
