The Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone devs have offered players compensation for the major server issues that affected both games, but players aren’t impressed with the rewards being handed out.
Like all online games, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone can occasionally run into server issues, leaving the community unable to play. That’s exactly what happened on Friday, February 23, when players were suddenly booted from matches due to a major server outage.
Both games were offline for hours, but to make matters worse, many also found their accounts had been temporarily reset, meaning their ranks, weapon levels, and Battle Pass progress had been lost.
The issues also affected Ranked Play, with players finding themselves back in Bronze 1 despite their hours of grinding. Then, the servers also went down again on February 26, albeit for a much shorter period than the previous one.
Now, the MW3 and Warzone devs have released compensation as an apology to players and to make up for the lost time.
The official Call of Duty X (formerly Twitter) account announced that the Double XP event had been extended by one day, while everyone will receive one Double XP Token for player rank, weapons, and Battle Pass.
