The Sledgehammer is a new melee weapon arriving in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4, so here’s how to unlock it.
Warzone and MW3 Season 4 bring four brand-new weapons to the arsenal, including the iconic Kar98k and SPAS-12 Shotgun, now named the Reclaimer 18. Among the fresh arrivals is the Sledgehammer, a heavy-hitting melee weapon that’s sure to cause plenty of damage.

How to get Sledgehammer in Warzone and MW3
The Sledgehammer arrives in MW3 and Warzone as part of the Season 4 Reloaded update, expected around June 26, but the details on how to unlock it haven’t been revealed.
Since Reclaimer 18 is also arriving mid-season, the Sledgehammer could be one of the sub-rewards for Sector 23 – which is thought to be the Classified Sector in the Season 4 Battle Pass based on the released image.
Alternatively, it could also be a Weekly Challenge reward or a simple Armory Unlock that requires a handful of Daily Challenges to earn.

MW3 and Warzone have received plenty of new melee weapons since launch, but the likes of the Gladiator and Soulrender have focused on speed and mobility. However, the Sledgehammer is all about brute force, as mentioned by the devs in the Season 4 blog.
They said: “This bludgeoning behemoth isn’t designed for driving nails into wood, with a 20-pound head forged from carbon steel, beveled so the weapon doesn’t chip when striking, this monster of a melee weapon can inflict massive blunt force damage quickly, knock a foe back with a pole butt, or cause more monumental damage after a brief pause and a swing.”
