The Gladiator is a brand-new melee weapon coming to Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 in Season 3, so here’s everything you need to know about how to unlock it.
Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 3 brings a host of new weapons to both games, including the Gladiator. This brand-new melee weapon drops alongside the FJX Horus SMG and MORS Sniper Rifle, expanding the already huge line-up of guns.
But, before you add it to your class and start cutting enemies down, you’ll need to unlock it. So here’s how to get the Gladiator melee weapon in MW3 and Warzone.
How to unlock Gladiator melee weapon in Warzone & MW3
You can get the Gladiator by completing Sector 15 of the MW3 and Warzone Season 3 Battle Pass. This is done using tokens earned through either multiplayer or battle royale matches, with wins and your performance affecting how quickly you receive a new one.
As always, Sector 15 will require five tokens altogether. The first four grant sub-rewards, before the fifth and final one completes the Sector and unlocks the Gladiator.
Not all melee weapons are made equally in MW3 and Warzone, as some are heavy but keep enemies at a distance, while others are more nimble but force you to get up close and personal.
The Guardian falls into the latter category, with the devs even comparing it to the popular Karambit in their official description of the weapon in the Season 3 blog.
“Close combat was never so quick and painful, with the Gladiator rivaling the Karambit for supreme mobility, handling, and damage potential,” they said. “Cut straight to the bone with haste and ease, but ensure you’re close enough to make your lethal stabs count.”
Only time will tell if the Gladiator replaces the Karambit as the go-to melee option when it arrives in Warzone and MW3 Season 3 on April 3.
