Call of Duty Releases New Update You Can Download Right Now

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone receive new updates for February 11, bringing a handful of small improvements, adjustments, and bug fixes to both titles. The newest update comes just two weeks after the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2, which brought a plethora of gameplay improvements and new content, including fresh multiplayer maps, weapons, perks, and much more.

While the newest season of Call of Duty did bring plenty of content for Multiplayer and Zombies fans to get stuck into, the same couldn’t be said for Warzone. With the game’s player count declining rapidly on Steam and popular streamers claiming the free-to-play shooter is in its worst state to date, Activision announced that it would be focusing its efforts on rectifying the game’s many bugs for Season 2. With prioritization being on gameplay tuning, quality-of-life improvements, and bug fixes, Warzone received much less content than originally anticipated for Season 2 last month. Although today’s update is only a small one, it continues the studio’s efforts to return Warzone to a higher standard.

A new update for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone was deployed on February 11, making some small improvements to both titles. According to the official patch notes, which can be found further down this article, the latest Black Ops 6 update addresses various stability issues in Zombies, as well as an issue with the Gunsmith in Multiplayer that was preventing players from equipping certain weapon blueprints for the XMG. As for Black Ops 6 Ranked Play, developer Treyarch Studios has made some new restrictions, preventing the use of the KSV and PPSh-41 SMGs and the Cypher 091 Assault Rifle.

It’s not just Black Ops 6 Ranked Play that has received fresh restrictions either, as Warzone players will no longer be able to use the Experimental Gas Grenade in the competitive game mode following the February 11 update. Alongside a handful of bug fixes for standard Battle Royale, Ranked Play has also had an issue fixed that was preventing some players from being demoted.

Call of Duty‘s newest update comes shortly after Treyarch Studios confirmed it would be extending the latest Double XP event for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Although the studio didn’t officially reveal why it was extending the event, many believe it is due to the PSN outage that occurred between February 7 and 8. The sudden downtime, which Sony provided no explanation for, saw the service offline for roughly 24 hours, preventing users from playing games, browsing the store, chatting with friends, and much more.
