  • More fixes are expected in the near future.

The first March updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone have been released, introducing numerous bug fixes across both titles in the franchise. With the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded, players received a wave of new content, events, and gameplay adjustments. Now, the developers have rolled out an additional update aimed at addressing key stability issues.

Season 2 Reloaded of Black Ops 6 and Warzone introduced a wealth of new content, much of it themed around the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, including new game modes, Operators, and an exclusive TMNT Event Pass packed with rewards. However, both games will also receive additional gear, modes, and more. This update marks the final one before the highly anticipated Season 3, which is expected to bring back the beloved Verdansk battle royale map. Despite the influx of content, many players continue to criticize the game’s poor performance, stability issues, and rampant hacking, as both major Season 2 updates – originally intended to address these problems – have yet to fully resolve them.

Call of Duty Hits Record Low on Steam

Gaming behemoth Call of Duty’s player count on Steam drops to a record low after experiencing a long period of relatively unchallenged success.

Fortunately, Treyarch Studios and Raven Software, the developers of Black Ops 6 and Warzone, released a new patch update for both titles on March 3, 2025, aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience while addressing several issues. The update fixes an issue that prevented in-match Gunsmith access, stopping players from switching loadouts during matches in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Warzone modes, along with a bug that caused in-game notifications to display incorrectly.

The March 3 patch also includes multiple Black Ops 6-specific fixes, such as sorting Tracked and Near Completion Challenges by completion percentage, ensuring the Tracker Perk no longer outlines pinged enemies, temporarily disabling the weapon raise animation upon respawning, and preventing sliding doors on the brand-new Black Ops 6 Bullet map from opening when shot – something that has become quite annoying for many players, disrupting the overall flow of the map. These changes are meant to ensure certain features function as intended, preventing players from gaining unintended advantages while maintaining a balanced gameplay experience that avoids frustration.

It’s encouraging to see the Call of Duty development teams actively addressing issues through updates, particularly those aimed at improving the overall gameplay experience. These updates not only fix critical bugs but also resolve problems that impact essential features. However, there’s still significant work to be done, especially on the Warzone side. Despite receiving adjustments and improvements in Season 2 and its mid-season patch, stability issues and hacking remain unresolved. A more substantial overhaul may arrive with the Season 3 update, potentially bringing much-needed improvements to Warzone.
