Call of Duty Raising Money For LA Wildfire Relief With New DLC

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone players will be able to contribute to Los Angeles wildfire relief by buying a new DLC pack. Fires have been spreading throughout southern California since January 7, killing dozens of people and causing tens of thousands of others to evacuate as emergency responders try to get the blazes under control. Activision now joins the relief effort while giving Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone fans a chance to pitch in.

As the LA-area fires have raged on, donations have flooded in from major corporations and individuals alike. On January 13, Sony announced it was donating $5 million to wildlife support and recovery efforts amid the disaster, and Disney, Comcast, and the NFL have all donated millions, too. This funding joins a large crowdfunding effort from consumers across the country — something Activision hopes to take further by giving players a chance to unlock in-game content while supporting first responders and affected civilians.
