Call of Duty has launched a new Double XP event, which is now available in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Players have until mid-February 2025 to take advantage of the newly started Call of Duty promo.
Double XP events have been a regular occurrence across all modern entries in Activision’s military shooter series. The latest such promotion launched at the beginning of Black Ops 6 Season 2 in late January 2025, though it ended up being cut short with no prior notice.
Call of Duty publisher, Activision, shares an update on the issue involving hackers kicking other players from the games’ lobbies.
Another Double XP event has now kicked off on Thursday, February 6, launching in both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. As per usual, the ongoing promo doubles the rate of XP and Weapon XP acquisition. It also applies the same bonus to the GobbleGum acquisition rate in the Black Ops 6 Zombies mode. The event is planned to run until Monday, February 10.
New Call of Duty Double XP Event Arrives Alongside a Free Black Ops 6 Trial
The timing of the new Double XP event coincides with the start of a free trial period for select Black Ops 6 multiplayer modes and maps. The limited-time offer includes free access to Nuketown 24/7, Stakeout 24/7, Overdrive, Gunfight, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Kill Order. Players are also able to try The Tomb (Standard) and Liberty Falls (Standard + Directed Mode) in Zombies during the promotional period. Although Call of Duty‘s free trials aren’t always perfectly aligned with Double XP weekends, that turned out to be the case this time around, as both offers are slated to conclude on February 10.
Another February 6 addition to Call of Duty arrives in the form of a new Terminator-themed event for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The ongoing promotion allows fans to earn Skulls through regular play, which can then be exchanged for a variety of rewards. There are over a dozen such digital goodies to unlock, including the Scanning emblem, Reactive Armor perk, War Machine Scorestreak, and the Ocular System weapon charm. A Double Weapon XP Token is also part of the redeemable reward pool, but since a Double XP event is already ongoing, this bonus can’t be used until it ends.
The Terminator event is scheduled to conclude on February 20. A week beforehand, a new Shadow Hunt promo is scheduled to kick off in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, allowing players to earn up to seven rewards—including the TR2 Marksman Rifle and Tanto .22 Binary Trigger Fire Mod—by completing a variety of challenges.
