Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 released an overview trailer giving plenty of details about the upcoming Reckoning map for its Zombies mode. This is set to be the finale of the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The Zombies mode first appeared in Call of Duty: World at War, and has been a staple in the series since. It involves taking on waves of zombies throughout various maps (alone or in co-op play), doing everything to survive the hordes, and eventually killing all the enemies. It has its own storyline separate from the main story of the games, and is consistently being updated throughout the games, with its newest update set to happen in Season 5 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
After giving a tease to the new Zombies map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on July 23, a new Intel Drop Video has been released, detailing the upcoming Reckoning map. Said to be the finale of this game’s Zombies mode, it will take place in the Janus Towers, which was a location teased on the Liberty Falls map, being visible in the background. Players will have much more freedom of movement here compared to past areas, as they will have access to parachutes, and the gravity will periodically shut off, causing both the team and the zombies to float around.
New Weapon and Enemy in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Reckoning Map
In addition to the new ways of moving around, fans will have a new Wonder Weapon to look forward to. Although the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 weapon looks similar to a gun from High on Life, the Gorgofex is a living organism that will evolve into a pistol for the player to use. There are two different choices in how the gun can evolve, giving it a level of customization while using it. The pistol will be helpful against the Uber Klaus, a new mechanical Elite enemy that will be in this map. The machine has two phases, as the core will burst out of the armor once defeated, becoming a much quicker enemy that players will have to defeat.
The Reckoning map is set to be released on August 7. On top of this finale to the Zombies mode, Season 5 will have many more additions for players to look forward to. On top of new maps and weapons for the regular game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be having crossover skins with the horror franchise I know What You Did Last Summer.
