Earlier this week, Treyarch Studios finally began revealing official details on the next major update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. After weeks of speculation, the studio confirmed that Season 4 will begin on Thursday, May 29, which means fans are just one week away from getting their hands on some brand-new content. While there is still plenty to be revealed, Treyarch has now confirmed that an iconic Black Ops 3 Multiplayer map will return with Season 4. The map in question is Fringe, which was a fan favorite in the 2015 title, but hasn’t been seen in a Call of Duty game since. Thankfully, that’s finally about to change.

Black Ops 6 Season 4 Will Bring Back One in the Chamber
The return of Fringe isn’t the only piece of Black Ops nostalgia returning in Call of Duty Season 4, as Treyarch Studios has now also confirmed that One in the Chamber, a classic party mode that debuted all the way back in 2010 with the original Black Ops, is returning. For those who have never played One in the Chamber, the mode is simple, yet massively entertaining. All players are given a pistol with a single bullet, and if they miss their shot, they’re left with just a knife. Eliminating an enemy will grant the player an additional bullet, and every player has just three lives. The player who racks up the highest number of points is crowned the winner.
While fans have been waiting for the mode to return for four seasons, One in the Chamber has featured in numerous other Call of Duty titles over the years. After debuting alongside the original Black Ops, it has featured in various Black Ops and Modern Warfare entries, including 2023’s Modern Warfare 3. Full details on the mode’s return have yet to be shared by Treyarch, but the studio has also teased the addition of another mysterious game mode with the caption, “Last team standing.” Further details on Season 4 and the mysterious mode will likely be shared in a new blog post later today.
The first official teaser trailer for the new season was released last week, seemingly confirming the return of two iconic weapons for Black Ops 6 Season 4. The FFAR Assault Rifle and the LC10 Submachine Gun can be briefly spotted in the teaser video, suggesting they will return with the new content update. This wouldn’t be the first time the studio has teased the addition of new weapons in a trailer, as fans also spotted the Kilo 141 and CR-56 AMAX in a promotional video before they were released with the game’s Season 3 update last month.
