Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Reveals When Gun Game is Finally Making Its Debut
Activision has just confirmed that Gun Game mode will return to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on January 28. This is part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 update, bringing back a fan-favorite mode that many players have been waiting for.
Ever since Treyarch brought back Gunfight mode to Black Ops 6, players have been longing for the return of another popular mode: Gun Game. It’s not the first time that Gun Game arrives late to a Call of Duty game, as in previous entries, the mode was introduced months after release. Even though players were aware of the upcoming Season 2, it wasn’t clear when Gun Game was going to happen. Now, Treyarch has dropped a trailer featuring good news for Black Ops 6 players.
When is Gunfight Mode arriving to Black Ops 6?
Gun Game was first introduced in Black Ops, gaining a lot of popularity due to the chaotic and fast-paced experience it offered. The mode consists of a free-for-all format where all players start with the same weapon. As a player eliminates enemies, they advance to the next weapon, and the one who manages to get a kill with the final weapon wins.
Treyarch hasn’t provided specific details on how Gun Game will work in Black Ops 6 or if players should expect changes to its original dynamic. However, longtime Black Ops players will be familiar with it. Even though it’s true that the mode has not been as popular as others like Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, or Domination, Gun Game still offers an interesting option for party-style game modes—an area where Black Ops 6 could use some improvement.
As players continue to enjoy Black Ops 6 and Warzone’s well-made game modes, a highly anticipated addition is imminent. Those who have been waiting for Gun Game’s return should mark January 28 on their calendars.
