Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Releases New Update for March 2025

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has received a new patch update focused on improving performance, including bug fixes, weapon adjustments, and more. With the extensive content introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone’s Season 2 Reloaded, players will have more time to engage with the latest additions. As a result, the developers remain committed to refining the game for a more stable experience. To further enhance gameplay, they have now released an additional update aimed at addressing key stability issues.

With Season 3 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone on the horizon, nearly all Season 2 Reloaded content has been released. A major highlight of the mid-season update is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover, bringing new game modes, Operators, and an Event Pass loaded with rewards. The update also includes crucial fixes for issues that weren’t properly addressed in previous patches, as well as adjustments to gameplay mechanics and new weapons. Additionally, these updates may help lay the groundwork for Season 3, ensuring both titles have a solid gameplay foundation – especially with the highly anticipated return of Verdansk to Warzone – alongside fresh content for Multiplayer and Zombies.

On March 11, Call of Duty announced via Twitter that the developers of Black Ops 6 and Warzone, Treyarch Studios and Raven Software, had released a new patch update for both games aimed at improving the player experience. The second update of March 2025 introduces adjustments to ammunition mechanics and camo challenges for the D1.3 Sector in Black Ops 6’s Multiplayer and Zombies modes. It also reinstates several changes that were originally intended to be included in the March 3 update. Meanwhile, Warzone also received an update, bringing balance changes to select Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 weapons. Additionally, it includes updates to the newly introduced Sawblade launcher from Season 2 Reloaded.

The patch extends Black Ops 6 and Warzone‘s TMNT Event Pass, part of the collaborative event, until March 20 at 10 AM PT, giving players more time to unlock all the Turtles-themed rewards. Additionally, Black Ops 6 received a minor update for Zombies mode, which now features three content-heavy, round-based maps. The update fixes issues with The Guardian, the final boss of Citadelle des Morts, as well as bugs affecting LMGs equipped with the Belt Fed Magazine attachment.

This small update follows the developers’ ongoing efforts to improve performance and stability in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Recently, Call of Duty has seen a player count decline due to various issues that have disrupted gameplay. With this update, the team aims to address these problems and prepare for the next major content drop. For many, the upcoming seasonal update – featuring the return of Verdansk and potential nostalgic content from the original game – could be the moment they return. These additions are also expected to be available in Multiplayer and Zombies modes.

D1.3 Sector

Our initial design for the D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades revolved around quickly launching many high-speed blades, meant to perform best blind firing into enclosed spaces. We have been following your feedback and agree that, in practice, the use cases for this ammo type are too low. The Ricochet Blades will now do 100 damage to enable one-hit kills, and to compensate we are lowering the fire rate and projectile speed. We think the popularity of this ammo type will see some new interest with these changes and look forward to seeing more of your cross-map killcams in MP.
