Treyarch has just rolled out the June 2025 update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, targeting several issues across Gunsmith, Zombies, the UI, and more. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 continues to be one of the biggest names in the FPS genre, problems keep coming up, and updates like these are being pushed out regularly to deal with them.
Black Ops 6 got its Season 4 update on May 29, which added new content and also brought back Grief mode from Black Ops 2. The mode now works as a competitive PvPvE experience, where two teams of four players try to survive both the undead and each other. However, what was meant to excite players ended up frustrating many, as the Black Ops 6 Season 4 update also introduced a wave of technical problems.

Call of Duty Launches Ballerina Collab for Black Ops 6 and Warzone
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina’s Call of Duty collaboration bundle goes live as part of the fourth season of Black Ops 6.
Now, just a week later, another patch has been released, addressing multiple areas of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. In Gunsmith, the “Rapid Fire” Fire Mod damage has been adjusted to match the AK-74, and FFAR 1 blueprints now include the correct number of attachments. Another issue with the Combo Bash FFAR 1 blueprint has also been fixed – underbarrel launchers can now be used with it.
The patch also includes several fixes for the Black Ops 6 user interface. Operators like Hudson, Mace, and R0-Z3 now display correctly in the selection screen, and a known camo glitch has been patched to stop players from using skins they haven’t unlocked. Also, Mastercraft icons for the LC10 Storm Rage blueprint now show up correctly. Multiplayer saw a small fix that ensures player levels display properly when entering matches, instead of showing placeholder icons.
Several gameplay adjustments have been introduced in Black Ops 6‘s Zombies, particularly in the new Grief mode, based on community feedback. To address melee spam, the flinch effect from enemy melee attacks has been significantly reduced, and repeated strikes from the same weapon no longer apply additional stun and slow effects until the previous ones have worn off. To shorten overly long matches, Field Upgrades like Aether Shroud and Healing Aura now take significantly more kills to charge (180 and 240, respectively). Other fixes include resolving issues with Weapon Roulette, preventing unintended use of Wonder Weapons, and cleaning up excess map icons.
The developer says more updates are coming soon, as the team is currently working on balance changes to make Grief mechanics more meaningful. Alongside these ongoing improvements, it is worth noting that Treyarch also recently shared a list of featured playlists that are coming to Black Ops 6 this week.
