Chaos Nuketown is now available as a new mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 with the release of the April 14 multiplayer playlist update. According to Treyarch’s official Twitter account, Chaos Nuketown is a 10v10 mode with increased score and time limits, and the mode is available in both standard and Hardcore variants. Similarly to other Hardcore modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Hardcore Chaos Nuketown features a vastly reduced HUD and significantly reduced player health. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players can see the mini-map again on Nuketown if a teammate activates a UAV, however.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Playlist Update Adds New Chaos Nuketown Mode
The new playlist update also gives players access to several modes in the Party Games menu in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s multiplayer. Specifically, Party Games now includes the Sharpshooter, Prop Hunt, Gun Game, Infected, and Gunfight playlist modes. No other changes were made with the playlist update, but Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players can expect more updates soon, if Treyarch continues its near-weekly cadence of patches.
The reception to Chaos Nuketown appears to be mixed on Twitter, since there are players who voiced concerns over lag spikes and other technical issues they’ve encountered in the mode thus far. However, there are plenty of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players who enjoy the frantic combat and crammed corridors on the map. Chaos Nuketown could also be a great opportunity for players who have double XP tokens in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, since they will be encountering more enemy players than usual in the 10v10 mode.
